Reading presentations were excellent and our project books are complete! Hooray is all I have to say!!!

Reading: We will start with our short readers this next week and use them up until Winter break. It will be a nice change for them as some will be narrative and some expository.

Writing: We finished our first Common Core prompt. We will be coming through these searching for elements to improve on. We will do a few more of these in the 3rd quarter.

Projects: We are starting a 3 week science unit and the kids are thrilled to do a little more hands on and a little less researching! I can't say that I blame them though!

I am so thankful for our school and your beautiful children. They make me laugh everyday, make me a better person, and I love spending my days with them. Enjoy the extra days with them! Happy Thanksgiving!

Wow!!

What a crazy, busy week!! Your children deserve the 3 day weekend for sure! They are writing about their week in their parent journals right now. They have worked EXTREMELY HARD.

Reading: For the entire mornings on Wednesday and Thursday they worked on their reading project for Patty Reed's Doll. I am excited to see the completed work on Monday and Tuesday, they have been fun to watch come together. This has been an independant  project with quite a few menu items for them to choose from.  For reading through the month of December, we will be reading short fiction and non fiction books with short questions. The amount of writing they have done this far is amazing!

Projects: We almost finished putting our Nevada book together today, 30 more minutes on Monday should do it. Although this has been shorter and less of a "group" effort, it still has been quite a bit of work. I am proud of what they are creating.

All work from reading and writing will be on the wall outside of our classroom. Please stop by after Thanksgiving break to see it all!

Your kids are stressing out!! Stress level 10!! The pressure is on to finish their Social Studies project, I love their teamwork!

Entry event! Ask your student the purpose of our walk in the rain, and their thoughts on the topic! It was a great walk and my students were so well behaved!! 💙
