I have been working on our activities for the day of December 22nd and it finally has come together!
First, BIGGEST thanks to Carrie Sheldon Davis for her cool ideas, and EVEN BIGGER THANKS to Page Hiskett for helping me implement these cool ideas! Much Love!!
So, traditionally, our classes walk to the Fallon theater the last week of school before Winter Break to watch a movie. This year, 6th grade is going with us! It is really a fun trip and we enjoy getting out of the building and spending a different kind of time together. We were initially having trouble finding a G or PG movie but the moons aligned for us, so here is our plan!
On the morning of Thursday, December 22nd, we will begin walking to the Fallon Theater, leaving at 9:00 a.m., our movie will start at about 9:30. We will either be watching the movie Moana or the movie, Sing. Both movies are rated PG, and honestly, we may not know which one until we arrive at the theater. We will be back in time for our regular lunch. We will be doing some writing that morning, so please have your child here on time.
After lunch, we have plans to create our parent gifts. I am really excited about these and think they will be adorable. We also have the chance to see our high school friends in their Lip Sync competition that afternoon as well.
Usually, we see the movie and that IS our fun for the day, however, since our school completely ROCKED our testing last year, Mrs. Mackedon has given us the green light for both of these activities. We will be writing and reading throughout the day, but we are grateful for this day so we can celebrate our achievements.
