Fall poems, Hot apple cider, pumpkin cookies and candy bags with our 2nd grade buddies! Our fall poems will be made into a book for the 2nd graders to keep in their classroom!

Projects:
We had our econ vocabulary test today and as a whole we did very well. We will work on more vocabulary this week and have one more test on Monday.

Reading: Today we started reading, Patty Reed's Doll. This doll is actually on display in a museum in Sacramento. When we get to the middle of this book, your children will receive a menu with 4 different, end of book, project options to choose from. It will be a fun and creative way to show their comprehension of the story and this time in history.

Writing: We have finished up our fall poems for our 2nd grade buddies, they are awesome! We will practice reading them out loud to our class tomorrow and then Wednesday we will invite them to our room for hot apple cider and cookies! I will post pictures!

We are very much enjoying Mrs. Johnson in art this quarter, once our work is put up, I will let you know!

Mr. O'Neill

We had an excellent lesson today on profit and not for profit businesses and companies. We are so blessed to have parents who are willing to come in and share their talents with us. Thank you Mr. O'Neill for taking time out if your day to teach us, it was a good time!

Book fair!

Book Fair time!

Here are my crazy little monsters! 💙 I am encouraging my class to buy their books before school or after school. Their only other option is at lunch and then they miss most of their recess. I don't mind, but I do think they need some "free time!" The book fair is super cute, very fun, the kids will love it!

You should have received an email from Sign Up Genius regarding parent conferences. Please sign up so we can visit about the first quarter of 5th grade.

If you couldn't come to see our presentations, our maps are hanging up in the hallway right outside our classroom.

Halloween is coming and Oasis is keeping it's tradition of a Halloween costume parade. Please no masks or blood! Costumes also nwed to meet the dress code that matches the coverage of our uniforms. We will also be reading our scary stories to our 2nd grade buddies from Mrs. Garcia room that week!
We will not be having a "party" but will be doing a Fall craft in our room.
